Finally a positive OPK

So me and DH have been trying to conceive for years now, it was only in January that we finally were referred for tests. My 21 day test came back no ovulation, I have been OPKs ever since. All have come back negative every month. My blood tests came back as FSH 4.5 so was a really good result but my testosterone levels are through the roof. No issues with my ovaries either.
I was beginning to think that I would never get a positive. My cervix was always low and closed (not the most fun thing to check) and cervical fluid was never raw egg like.
I am over the moon that 9 months later I have a positive OPK, high open cervix and raw egg cervical fluid. Woohoo - now I am shove that in the face of my gynae

Do you have a diagnosis of the underlying problem?. I ask only as a common cause of very high testosterone levels is PCOS.

You mention FSH but did they check your LH level at the same time?.
What are your periods like these days, do you have a menstrual cycle?. OPKs are pretty much useless to use if this is indeed present and this can give false positive results on an OPK. I hope I am wrong but this positive OPK may be a false dawn here.

Hi Attila

Thanks for that. My periods have always been regular, I know exactly what date my period would start on each month. Flow was pretty much 5 days every cycle and no cramps or any pain associated with my monthly flow. The scan of my ovaries looked normal, normal lining, follicles etc, the left was slightly larger than the right but that's it. I haven't had the tests back officially as I spoke to my GP not the consultant, he said FSH was perfect as was my thyroid, the only issue was the testosterone levels. I have no symptoms of PCOS so I am hoping I do not have PCOS.
