Ovarian Drilling Vs IUI & Injections?!

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get some advise for a big decision I have to make in the next couple of days...

I have been trying for a baby with help since December 2016 (metformin 1500mg & chlomid up to 200mg) however no luck falling pregnant, nor regular periods so norethistine used to bring a period on. I have been referred as it's clear I am not OV and have PCOS.

I have to choose either IUI with injections and therefore regular scans and monitoring etc OR ovarian drilling operation and letrazol or chlomid with it...

Apparently both have the same success rates but I wondered if there is one I should sway more towards and reasons why or if anyone can share their experiences of either of these with me Smile

Of course I want to choose the one which will give better chance of falling as I am desperate for a child and some good news after 3 years of no luck Sad

Please share and comment :)

Thanks !!!

Hi there. Hope you're well. I'm not too sure if my experience is going to be of much help.. I had my ovarian drilling done last month. I was told to have Clomid from day 2 to 6 of my period after the drilling (I got my period a week after the procedure).
I had a scan on cd13 when the nurse told me that it doesn't seem to have worked. However, I just had a day21 progesterone test yesterday just to confirm what I was told (should get a call from the doctors today for the result). In short, doesn't seem like it was worth it for me.

How many cycles of clomid have you had?
I think the max is 6?
