Pcos ultrascan results

I had my internal ultrascan today! Ive got 15 cysts on each overy. So she thinks its likely i do have pcos! Good news is my overies and lining looked ok. Waiting to see my dr on Friday for next steps.

If anyone else has just been diagnosed what are the next steps and if there anything I should make sure I ask my dr?

To diagnose PCOS, they need to look at your hormone levels. When you see your doc, make sure you know if you ovulate, what your hormone levels are and ask about any possible fertility treatments.

I have just been diagnosed with PCOS... 12+ follicles on each ovary and hadn't had a period for 120 days. DP and I have been TTC for 13 months unsuccessfully and I went to the GP as soon as my cycles started to get over 35 days in length. I had initial blood tests which all came back nor, then the internal ultrasound. I've was prescribed Norethistone to bring on a period and then I have to have blood tests on day 2/3 of my cycle and day 18/21. My day 3 tests have all come back normal and my day 18/21 tests are in a couple of weeks.

We were referred to the ferrite clinic, who have me booked in for a HyCoSy in a couple of weeks to check my fallopian tubes, and I have also just been prescribed Metformin to help regulate my periods and help me ovulate.

I wish I'd asked for a copy of all my test results as I've had a different diagnosis from the same test. So it's good to see the results yourself!

FYI you can have cysts and not PCOS - only just discovered this myself from my diagnosis. Most doctors use the 'Rotterdam criteria' where PCOS is present if you have 2 out of 3 symptoms.

I'm having more blood tests and a HSG next... good luck with your results!

Thanks guys! Ive signed up to the online results/gp booking UK system so ive got all of my results from the blood tests I had. My testerone was higher than normal and below are my latest lh and fsh results. I think the ratio is 1:4 instead of the normal 1:1 so im not sure what these results mean compared to my ultrasound today.

It all looks very PCOS.
