FET - Lining

Hi.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with problems with lining. Had a scan last week ahead of booking transfer and was only showing 5mm. They doubled my dose of progynova and booked back in for today, 8 days later. I've just had the scan and no further forward so looks like it'll be cancelled now.
When I had my unsuccessful fresh IVF transfer they were happy with my lining on the day. I think it was 9mm, so borderline I guess and they had mentioned it was thinner than they'd like in the lead up.
So my question is, is there anything I could be doing to not be in this position the next time we have a go? Is this likely to be a problem each time or could it just be a blip cycle? My fresh transfer was only 2 months ago so perhaps should have given my body more time?

Hi.
Sorry about your cycle not going smoothly. I am in a similar situation, I suppose. I had a scan and my lining wasn't thick enough. It was 6mm. I was just to take the tablets for another week. Dosage wasn't changed, and I am booked in for a scan a week after the first.
It didn't cross my mind that it might not thicken anymore... I have read about diet thickening the lining. Foods such as beetroot, butternut squash, pomegranate juice. But I'm not sure how much I think it will impact. I have a list in a book if you would like me to find it? Have you tried change in diet?

Oh, I'm sorry if I've just added an extra thing for you to worry about. To be honest it didn't cross my mind either, especially as they had doubled the dosage. I'm sure everyone is different though.
I've tried to eat healthy and have been having lots of eggs and beetroot. I do find it hard to keep track of which foods are supposed to help which stage/factor in the cycle though! So have kind of gone with just eating healthy in general and no junk foods

There's always something to worry about lol. I was healthy for my fresh cycle, but it didn't work, and I ended up losing weight, being underweight 😐 So this time round I've just ate anything I want.... thinking that being relaxed and happy is more important.
I'm going to try those foods for the last few days I have left. Lol.
Could you speak to the nurses at your clinic for advice? They are always so helpful.

I've definitely felt a lot more relaxed this time around. Looking back the IVF drugs sent me a little crazy! So was hoping that would lead to good things...
I should get a call back this afternoon after the doctors meeting. It seems the nurses are told not to say anything until there has been a review.
Good luck with your next scan!

Just to update you, they've now added estrogen patches for the next week and I then need to go for another scan. Hopefully these do the trick!

Good news that it's not cancelled. I bought the pomegranate juice and tea. Doubt it will do anything, but tastes nice!
Good luck for you too

Seems all clinics vary in thickness and what they the happy with and go ahead

I was told at mine 8 and under they would cancel the cycle and prefer beginning of double figures - mine has always been 11

Tho another lady had et with a lining of 8 at another clinic

I don't know what the minimum would be iyswim

Tho the thicker the lining the better so embryo can attach / saying that can Obv be too thick as well

Extra dose of progynova worked for friends

Good luck
