Hi ladies,

Question reguarding clomid cycles and changing in length from each cycle. I'm on my 3rd round of 50mg. I ovulated on the first round on CD15 confirmed with a scan and bloods and had my period CD25.

Cycle 2 didn't work with no ovulation. I knew from around ovulation that this was the case as no symptoms like when I ovulated round 1 (sore breasts, EWCM and positive opk).

I went onto round 3. I'm positive I've ovulated with the same symptoms of round 1 (ewcm, sore boobs and positive opk) on the same day of CD15. Then CD25 came around and No period.

Now on CD29 and no sign of AF. I did a test this morning (14DPO) and it was negative.

So the question is. Anyone experience a variance on their clomid cycles reguarding the days?? Seems to be a cruel trick this month my body is playing.

Yes I had this, I had between 26-32 day cycles on clomid. You're right it is totally cruel when you're TTC and your period is late....you just can't help but hope, even when tests are BFN

The only way I get through it now is to remember something I read online about infertility once - "everything is normal and nothing is normal" - hence there is no pattern to anything. Just because you usually get your period on cd 25 doesn't mean that's the case forever more, our bodies change! Especially with the introduction of hormones and drugs :(

Fingers crossed this is your month though and if it's not then try as much as you can to relax through the next cycle - it's almost impossible I know but analysing every single little thing does nothing for our mental health. Best of luck :)

Hi - I used to have 33-36 day cycles with clomid and AF lasted only 2-3 days which was odd as I always had 6-7 day cycles whenever I did get my period (which was infrequent due to pcos). The doc didn't pick up that clomid had resulted in a thin lining hence the short length of the period. I ended up wasting 6 months! Like you I only had a scan for ov tracking in the first cycle. I saw a different doc after 6 months and he said I should have had scans in later cycles too. Maybe you can ask for that if this one doesn't work out and you pursue another cycle of clomid?
