Worried about FET treatment length...advice pls

Hi all

I've just started my 3rd FET cycle and I'm starting to get concerned over the length it takes compared to so many others. Just want to know if this sounds about right or too long? I really worry because my last 2 fet cycles were with 'perfect' hatching day 5 blast embryos which failed to implant so wonder if the duration of meds is too much...

Basically I start buserelin jabs on CD21 (20 Aug) of the cycle before transfer, .50ml. I'm on this for just over 2 weeks then have a baseline scan...after that my jabs are reduced to .20ml and I start taking 2 progynova tablets...2 weeks later I have a lining scan...my tablets then increase and I stop buserelin on 20 sept, so means I'm using buserelin for 1 whole month! 1 week later I have the transfer...I start using cylogest pessaries 4 days before transfer...

Sorry if this is information overload but would really appreciate if someone can let me know their fet timeline or say if this is the norm.

Really hoping for 3rd time lucky so doing everything bit of research I can to make it as successful one. I had the endoscratch last Wednesday (cd16).

Thanks xxx

Hello! Mine was longer, even though I had no complications - my baseline scan was at 3 weeks instead of your two and my transfer was 18 days instead of your week. I was really disappointed with how long it took. But, it did work and I have a 14 month old DS and an appointment at the clinic tomorrow to try for a sibling.
Wishing you the very best of luck for your treatment x

@Clickncollect Thanks so much for replying and sharing your timeline. It gives me more confidence now hearing your positive story and wish you all the best with your next cycle. Guess I need to have faith in my clinic. X

You're welcome - also, I've used 3 of my embryos and only 1 implanted (1 in my fresh cycle failed, transferred 2 in my FET and only 1 worked) so it does go to show that even if previous cycles/FETs have failed from the same batch, it can still work x

Thanks again @Clickncollect - This certainly does make me feel so much better now, I have been worrying why the last 2 didn't work and I pray this cycle does. We are transferring 2 this time so hopefully it'll be 3rd time lucky. X

My fets were done via my natural period. So on day 1 I contacted clinic. They told me to take 4mg for 3 days then 6mg. This was progynova

Got scanned Day 13. Lining looked good so fet was day 20. Think it was 3 days before fet so day 16-17 that started taking pesseries and these continued till test day

First fet failed - was 4th attempt and from our 3rd fresh cycle

5th fet - taken from 3rd fresh cycle was slightly diff. Clinic was shut over summer so was told I could take progynova for week or so longer as was away on holiday for what would have been day 20 or try in sept

Said it was fine to take longer just would check lining and if mm ok the. Fet would be a week later

So was on progynova for think 29 days. Need to check diary but was def a week over the norm

And that was the one cycle that worked. 5th attempt and 2nd fet and dd is 5mths next week
