Hello, has anyone been prescribed Norethisterone to induce a period? If so, how many days did you take the tablets and how soon after stopping did your period come? Thanks!

I took it for 10 days 3 times and got my period between 4 and 6 days later x

Taken this drug many times for this purpose. Each time ive taken it for 7 days and it has always taken 7-10 days to actually bring on a period.

Thanks both. Is 5-10 days after stopping norethisterone the normal time for AF to arrive? On some websites I've read it would be 1-3 days (just trying to time my FET!).

Did both of you find your next cycle was normal length or was it any longer/shorter?

Thanks

I would say 5-10 is normal. My cycles were the same 26-29 days afterwards unless I was on progesterone x

subsequent cycles have always been too irregular to pinpoint any particular pattern. I was always told that a bleed 7-10 days later was normal. Best of luck with the FET!

In case anyone else uses this info.... I took norethisterone 3 times a day for 9 days and my period arrived 3 days after the last tablet.
