Hi guys,
Please could you help me with a question that's probably really obvious?!

Been TTC just over a year now without success so saw GP a couple of weeks ago. OH booked in for sperm analysis and I need to book my blood test. However I am confused as to the timings and feel like I'm being a bit thick!! My cycle is 35 days so do I go on day 21 (ovulation) or day 28?! Some people on here seem to have had two separate ones but perhaps this is for something else! I thought doc said 28 but to be honest he was pretty vague about the whole thing and I was anxious and flustered about the appointment so think brain turned to mush!!

Thanks so much in advance
Lou x

You go on day 28. It should be 7 days before your period is due but is often called a day 21 test as most cycles are 28 days. I had 2 blood tests, day 2 and 21. Do you not need day 2? I know the later one is to confirm ovulation and your progesterone should be 30 or above but can't remember what the first one was for. Hmm

What bluebird says. Day 28 of a 35d cycle.

The day 2-5 one is for fsh and oestradiol and the purpose of it is to see how hard your body is working to stimulate a follicle (egg) to develop. Ideally both fsh and oestradiol should be low early cycle indicating that your ovaries are responsive and you don't need much FSH to stimulate a follicle to develop.
