Delayed period after cancelled IVF

Started IVF last month but cancelled cycle on day 7 when I had had 4 days of injections (225 fostimon and 225 merional) and 1 cetrotide jab. Scan on day 7 showed 12 follicles, 6 looking very good in terms of size and 6 smaller ones. We cancelled as DH was shown to have a bacterial infection which meant we could only do ICSI which we didn't want to do. So, AF was due last Friday 28th July but no turned up which means I am 6 days late. I am usually very regular. Has anyone had this?

I would expect some weirdness after a cancelled cycle. When I had a cycle cancelled after ten or so days of stims, the timings worked out more or less as if the day after I stopped stims was day 1 of my cycle (even though obviously it wasn't). I wouldn't say to expect exactly that but I would definitely not be surprised to see an effect on your cycle.

Yes I would fully expect you to be late. I was five days late on the cycle after a completed but failed round. So stopping medication before completion will have thrown your system out. Good luck with the next round x

Thanks both. Dr said my period would be early but not late. I would understand if I took all the meds but I took less than half and would have thought that I would ovulate early if anything. Also a bit worried as DH and I DTD on day 3 and 16, against advice. We sort of thought CD16 would be ok as I usually ovulate on CD12 and had thought even earlier last month due to cancelled cycle. Have tested though and BFN but still a bit paranoid.
