Failed/bfn transfers but success after ends scratch

Hi all

I've just had my 2nd bfn after my 2nd fet, I did everything I possibly could to help it implant and be successful but no joy, I'm upset but trying to keep focused and plan ahead, if I don't I'll just let it eat away at what went wrong.

I'm currently waiting for af now and for the clinic to call to let me know if I can go ahead straight away with another fet. I have asked if we can have 2 transferred this time and if we can have the endo scratch.

My question is, who has had numerous bfns but went on to have the scratch and get their bfp? I know this isn't a magical solution and doesn't guarantee a bfp but I've read so much positivity about it I'm intrigued.

Any experiences and options welcome

After a failed cycle resulting in a CP I had a second cycle where I took extra supplements beforehand, changed the meds and levels, changed protocol and had the scratch and embryo glue.

Second cycle was successful- I'm not sure exactly what made it successful but I wouldn't change a thing if doing it again. I certainly think the scratch is worth a go.

Me! Had a scratch before a FET on our 5th cycle, and resulting dd is now 3. I also took steroids for 4 days over ovulation... Oh, and that cycle was ICSI rather than IVF. Not sure which factor helped, or if it was them all put together.
Really hope you get your bfp soon, will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for your replies, @winenight What supplements did you take and was it your clinic that told you to take them? This will be a frozen transfer for me so I don't think I can request the glue.

Roll on tomorrow when hopefully the clinic will call back to give us the go ahead

My clinic didn't recommend any supplements over and above folic acid and vitamin D, which were in the Pregnacare conception tablets I took.

I also took Ubiquinol and extra vit D in oil format after reading "It Starts with the Egg" to improve egg quality, knowing I was a poor responder- I'm not sure whether it would make any difference to a FET; both my cycles were fresh as never had enough to freeze.

I've read that pineapple and Brazil nuts are supposed to help with implantation although I haven't tried these!

I think if I do a fresh cycle again (but hopefully won't need to) I'll take Ubiquinol and extra vit D too, but like you say I don't know if that'll effect a fet.

I ate pineapple and Brazil nuts as well as all the other foods that are recommended, guess it takes more than food. lol - just praying for lucky no 3!

Keeping everything crossed for no3! I'm always jealous of ladies with Frosties who don't have to have fresh cycles.

Let me know if the scratch does work! X

Thanks @winenight - I dread having to do a fresh cycle again because of having ohss last time so I'm really hoping for 3rd time lucky!!!

I don't know if it was just luck of the draw and a good embryo but I had the scratch last Year and am currently pregnant after one failed fresh and one failed FET. It's an easy, cheap procedure so you might as well give it a go. Good luck!

Thanks @Bear2014 I hope so too Smile
