I had an hsg today and I was expecting it to be awful and got myself in such a state I was in tears before I'd even got changed. I have a tricky cervix/womb as I'm very tall and they are both tilted so it was quite uncomfortable and took a little longer than expected but got the all clear in the end. When did you start to feel back to normal? I've got an scratchy/itchy sensation inside and I'm very very tearful and a bit shaky. I couldn't take the antibiotics due to allergies and I'm really worried I'm going to get an infection. Just need to pull myself together really!

Hi there, I had an HSG today too, although I found mine quite painful (in spite of the pain killers I took) and was also in tears partly due to this, but partly due to anxiety about it too. Unfortunately, my news wasn't quite so positive as yours- my right tube is completely blocked and my left tube has some scarring too. I'd gone alone as I had been told by the consultant it would likely be completely normal, and then had to go straight to work afterwards and try not to cry all afternoon. I took the antibiotics and have no itchy feeling at all. Physically I feel fine, mentally I feel like I'm on the verge of a break down. Hope you feel better soon x
