Clomid today?

Been ttc #2 for 18 months, my doctor was very uninterested as I'm under 25 I have time on my side So I've gone privately and had scans, blood tests etc with a consultant who has said no pcos, a possibility of endo but he isn't convinced and thinks it's unexplained. He has referred me to a fertility specialist (who I'm seeing tonight!) to discuss ovulation induction but I'm not sure what that involves.

I'm on cd2 and I've done a lot of research in to clomid and I'm keen to try it, is there any other tests etc I would need before it would be prescribed? I'm hoping he will prescribe it today and I can start this cycle but wanted to gauge if I'm being unrealistic and not get my hopes up? It's such a long process!

I was also prescribed Clomid although I don't have PCOS but I have quite extensive endometriosis and I do ovulate naturally. You really need to get it checked out if there's even a slight suspicion of endometriosis... I was left for 7 years before they offered me a laparoscopy and by that point my reproductive organs were covered in the bloody stuff. (Don't mean to scare you or anything but doctors should take it damn seriously!)

Sometimes a HSG helps to, clears your tubes out.

I'm 26, and I totally understand how you must feel. I often felt I wasn't taken seriously enough because of my age ...

Got to have th hycosy fi St, which I shouldn't have googled as now I'm terrified!!

Hi OP,

Hycosy isn't bad at all, they literally put some dye in and make sure it goes through your tubes to make sure there is no blockages. It's uncomfortable but not unbearable.
