As it says I'm devastated ;( I feel like my whole world has come crashing down.
The procedure was very painful too.

What are my chances I need some positive stories.
Blood result also showed no ovulation, I'm so scared and cannot stop crying

My Mother had 4 children and only one fallopian tube.
Sorry that you are dealing with this bad news.
Hopefully they can kick start your ovulation again. I have a colleague with 2 girls who wasn't ovulating for a while. It was such a horrid time for her.
I don't know what your chances are, but it definitely not hopeless based on the information you have so far. x

The HSG is very very hard. Because it's often the first time that, despite knowing something must be wrong as you've not been able to get pregnancy, it is actually confirmed. It's a lot to take in. The lowest point of my journey was the HSG showing blocked tubes. I completely crumbled. You need time to grieve and to get your head together. Don't be afraid to do that.

And then start thinking positive. It's very much not the end of the road, just part of a different and more challenging road than you were expecting. Don't lose hope.

Like I say my tubes were shown to be blocked. I then had a laparoscopy to confirm, and following that a successful IVF cycle. Now, my daughter from that cycle is 3.5 years old and I am 15 weeks pregnant with a total shock natural pregnancy.

Omg ohwifey that has just made me pour buckets of tears that has. I'm so happy to read this.

I think they will offer me Ivf. My bloods came back at 7.5 meaning no ovulation. Would this because I only have one tube ? The other one the dye wouldn't go through at all xx

I think the ovulation is probably a separate issue I'm afraid. As the Fallopian tubes are just for transport once the egg has been released by the ovary

Sarah sorry you are going through this. You say the dye didn't go through the other one at all, do you mean you only have one tube or only one open tube? If you have both tubes but one is blocked, it is possible to have surgery which may help.to unblock it.

I only have one tube after suffering an ectopic. The other tube looked healthy during surgery but I haven't yet had an hsg to check, also haven't got pregnant again so I'm not hopeful. If you are ovulating, your fertility is only reduced by around 20 per cent as one tube can catch eggs from either ovary. Is it possible it was just a singular anovulatory cycle? Most women have this at least once in a while.

I'm so sorry to hear of your ectopic and the heartache you must be going threw!
I'm praying it was just a whacky cycle, as I'm usually regular! They are doing an internal ultrasound on the 25th of July which will check for pcos and I'm hoping it isn't as that is something else that'll prolong things.

Although GP said he doesn't ' think 'it is pcos as I'm not overweight ( size 8 ) 9st and I don't have abnormal hair growth.

Although I did have adult cystic acne in 2013 which was treated with roacatine!

But then reading online some sufferers aren't overweight with excess hair! So my head is all over the place at the moment lol xx

Sorry you're going through this Sarah. It's hard to come to terms with but like a PP said, it's not the end of the road. It does mean a more difficult journey for you though, by now you know what the issue is, you can start to deal with it.

I only have one tube and half a womb, have 2 ovaries but dont ovulate. I was devasted and thought I would mean no children. Initially I was prescribe Clomid to help ovulation, which worked beautifully for the ovary where I have no tube and did nothing on the side with a tube. Moved on to IVF and now have a 2.5 DD and am pregnant again using one of our frozen embryos.

Hi silver

That's amazing :) I'm so happy for you.

I'm glad I have the answers like you said, instead of wondering why the hell in not getting pregnant every month.

I've just finished my shift at work and feel quite angry that one of my colleagues who has been able to conceive 2 children natrually, first attempt on both, turned round to me and said " it's not the end of the world, if you can't have kids' you can adopt or have doner eggs" I could've lamped her one, even though she didn't mean it nastily, people do not understand how lonely and frustrating this is not to say heartbreaking!! I'd beg to differ her views if she was in my place right now!!

Sorry had to rant x
