IVF diet help, underweight

Hello, help needed x

Having known I would struggle to conceive due to both tubes blocked, my DH and I had our first appointment at the Lister last week and we are starting the process straight away.

I'm naturally quite slim. 5ft 8 and 8 stone and our consultant has advised I try and put on some more weight. I've never dieted, I love (love) my food. Dinners in our house never have carbs in as the DH follows a strict diet (athlete) but I very happily eat them lunch and breakfast.

I know this sounds like a first world problem but I'd really like some advice from anyone who has been in a similar position.

Aside, can anyone direct me to diet tips during IVF?

Thank you xx

Off the top of my head what about something like a protein shake/milkshake once a day? Maybe blend in a banana. Or snack on nuts here and there.

I heard that full fat milk is very beneficial for fertility/ egg quality. I included it daily and gained few kilos as it is naturally fattening. Someone cycling in argc said they advise at least a pint daily, I was having a glass or two max.
Also try to eat full breakfast with eggs, cottage cheese ( full fat), avocados, etc

I drank complan made to get my weight high enough for IVF on the NHS.

Thank you, good advice. I'm frustratingly allergic to dairy but will definitely be swapping cereal for bigger breakfasts with eggs and avocados! Can't complain about that :)
