I went to my doctor about 18m ago for support, was told to lose three stone and then go back for further help if we hadn't gotten pregnant on our own. I was doing well, but then had a chemical pregnancy a year ago and the weight started piling back on due to low MH following this. I have had help with this, but now need to get back on with losing weight (probably need to lose 3.5 stone now), but I'm still teaching for the crap food. I want to have a child so badly, why can't I just buckle down and lose the weight?! Angry Please kick me up the arse, MN.

Sounds like counselling could help. You're in denial and being a bit self destructive. Join a programme (I joined weight watchers and have lost a stone since march, but not much recently... as I'm now in healthy bin and have started snacking again).

Even with weight loss it could still take awhile and time is not on our side.

Is there a friend you could have a little weight loss group yourself with? I was going to SW but now weigh once a week and send a pic of the scales to my mum and friend and that helps me be accountable. Having said that I still have 7lb to lose before my next appointment in 4 weeks. Sometimes if you are struggling mentally and feeling self destructive you have to just take baby steps and do what you can if you are not on a strict time frame to lose. E.g Not having a pudding some nights if you usually do. Or having a smaller amount. Or if you want chocolate and crisps just having one or the other. I got a Fitbit and it has really encouraged me to be more active and I can track what I eat on the app.
