Progesterone pessaries quick query...?

I haven't actually had my progesterone levels tested on this cycle of IUI to check whether they are ok (I've always been told they were normal in the past, but do get some spotting before AF) and have been prescribed progesterone pessaries. The cycle is unmedicated.

My question is, can they do any harm if you don't actually need them? Or can they be used purely as a precautionary measure? Thanks

My experience is that they are handed out as standard. My progesterone was never tested during cycles. I also took them for a good many weeks post bfp - nurse had to persuade it was ok to stop.

If you are concerned give your clinic a call.

My nurse said I can have them til 8 weeks though on here it seems 12 weeks is standard. I'm sure they'll be no harm on taking them if your progesterone is fine. I would double check
