I have PCOS and have had my first round of letrazole this month. Today I went for my first internal scan to check if I would be releasing any eggs.
It was a disappointing scan with nothing showing I would ovulate this month.
Yesterday I had a positive opk and was feeling hopeful! Is there any chance I could have ovulated before the scan?
Would they be able to detect that on the scan?
I am going for a blood test next week. The nurse said to BD anyway but I feel like she was just trying to give me something positive to leave with.
I'm still hoping I'm in with a chance, otherwise I will need to up my letrazole next cycle.
Please help!

OPKs and PCOS are very uneasy bedfellows because they can give untrue results. The kit reads the amount of LH; as many PCOS patients have an excess of this hormone to start with the kit simply reads that excess. I would stop using OPKs with immediate effect; they really do not help.

It was only your first scan; you may see an improved blood test result next week. Are they going to measure your progesterone levels?

Thankyou for you response.

I was just confused as I have had negative opks and then had a positive today!

Yes they are measuring my progesterone levels next week but I'm not feeling very hopeful.
