Liverpool IVF

Hi.
I wondered if anyone who has been through IVF at the Hewitt Centre recently might be able to help.

We recieved a letter from Liverpool last week confirming our funding for IVF and from what I've read and heard it could be just a couple of months to start treatment. I've spoken to them on the phone and they said this was possible but they couldn't really say.

The dilemma is we have a holiday booked for the last week of July and only have until the end of this week to cancel without losing too much money.
We could delay the ivf by a cycle however I work in a school so the chance to have treatment in the holidays would be ideal really!
If anyone could share timescales with me that would be great as I need to make a decision!

@L89 Think I received my in the funding in November then appointments began in the feb, and started first cycle in the march, hope this helps xx

@Luluspies thanks! What year was this if you don’t mind me asking? So seems about 3 month wait from initial funding letter to first appointment? So hard waiting isn’t it!

@L89 yes this was just last year going into this year, it all went through quite quickly, yes the waiting is hard and you just want to get going but there is a lot of waiting so just try and relax! hope all goes well xx

I have to have my tubes removed before embryo transfer. Wondering if anybody has had this done and did you do the ivf process first and freeze the embryos or wait until after surgery and have a fresh?
