Crap 1st stimms scan

This is my 4th & final ivf round and I've just had my first stimms scan (day 7 of stimms) and it's not good.
1 @ 11 and 4 under 7.
I think that's the worst 1st scan I've ever had.
I'm already on max 450 dose of stimms so feeling really fed up.

Anyone get anything good come from this type of result?

Yeah. I can't remember sizes, but I had something like 4 follicles in the end. 3 of them were growing, 1 did nothing and I only got 2 eggs. I was on 450 dose too. It was all looking really grim and pointless, however, we had 1 embryo, 1 bfp who is now a bouncing 2 year old! It csn happen.

What's your reason for doing ivf and how old are you? Sorry if that's nosey- just trying to get context.

Chatty your post made me cry! Doing a lot of that at the moment.

Im 40 and been TTC for 18 years.
This is my 4th cycle, only 1 ovary, poor responder, immune & antibody issues. I'm on a full immune cycle this time. Never even seen a 2nd line on a test!
My last cycle I only got 3 eggs and just 1 fertilised, time before that I only had 1 egg.

I'm due a bit of good luck surely to god!

Glad to provide some hope. It's just a matter of finding a good egg remember- not how many you get. The clinic told me this at the time and I'm must admit, I thought they were just saying this to make me feel better. However, it turned out to be true in my case, regardless of getting a rubbish number of eggs.

Hopefully the extra immune drugs will help you this time. It might be that this is all that's been preventing things previously right?

Probably a stupid question, but is there any chance Of a natural conception? I know you've been trying for a long time, but if you had the right immunes drugs for example?

There is always hope! I was a poor responder too and on max dose of stimms. I think we got 7 eggs (against all odds on previous scans), 5 fertilised and 2 made it through to day 3 (after a couple of years in the freezer - long story). One frostie stuck and is now 1-year-old DD. Our prognosis was so bad at one point the consultant was talking seriously about surrogacy or adoption. I remember that feeling of being absolutely flattened by it. But there is always hope! Really hoping the immune drugs make the difference for you.
