Am I too old at 44?

I've just gone 44. Have been ttc for one year; had one mc and last April had to have an abortion because of awful chromosomenal problems.

Before this I had an mc at age 39,then conceived my healthy son at 40.

Until the abortion I literally fell pregnant every time we tried to conceive, but since then nothing. Am I too old? Is it time to give up? My periods are still regular (well, from every 29 days now down to every 24-26).

Feeling sad about giving up. But couldn't face another termination.

Maybe you should get your ovarian reserve checked? This will give a outline of how many years left you have and of sadly it's unlikely to happen at least you'll know more
Good luck Flowers

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but whilst checking ovarian reserve could be a good idea, sadly all ovarian reserve tests tell you is how many eggs you have left- NOT if any of those eggs are good quality, which is what determines whether pregnancy happens or not.

Sorry to hear of your issues oP. The problem is that no one can tell you if you will happen to fall on a lucky egg one month or not, and it's Definitely true that being older carries more risks of chromosomal issues. I guess you need to decide if you are willing to take the risk or not.
