Can inofolic be taken through out pregnancy? I've been for an FET few weeks ago I started inofolic few months ago I'm just wondering if it's safe during pregnancy

Yes it's advisable to continue. Like metformin, it can help reduce the risk of miscarriage associated with the hormonal imbalance of PCOS

Oh thanxs so much ladies do I need to take Metformin too? Some ladies take Metformin too. Are u ladies takin inofolic too? I know it's got folic acid in too but I want to take pregnacare pregnancy vitamins will it be ok cuz that's got folic acid in too?

Depends what your Dr says

I'm on both: my Dr prescribes the metformin and I just buy the inofolic sachets

Absolutely fine to take vitamins with folic acid alongside, folic acid is water soluble so you can't take too much. You'll just pee out any extra your body doesn't use

Banana are u expecting?

Sadly not any more - I've miscarried. Well, a very early one, technically at 5w it's a chemical pregnancy. We discovered it wasn't viable yesterday

Miscarriage in March at 10w was from a fresh cycle

I'm so sorry banana so u do have pcos? Ive been through a lot I miscarried in :
Fresh cycle in sept 2014 at 19 weeks
FET in April 2015 : chemical
FET in march 2016 negative
FET in september 2016 : BFP not sure until scan

Banana were u having symptoms? Did u go for scan yesturday. It was horrible last year I recieved a positive result then a week later a negative I'm scared to go to the scan in a weeks time. This is a first proper positive I've got on the 14th of september after an FET and I keep checking with pregnancy test if it's still positive after what happened to me last time. When did u start takin inofolic? Banana it will happen at the right moment sometimes it can be the embryo that can be abnormal or the chromosomes don't know something to do with the cells.

I'm so sorry for your losses - can only imagine the pain and heartache you've been through, especially with such a late loss. I have everything crossable crossed for this one

I do have PCOS - we weren't trying to get me to ovulate naturally, as we had 6 PGS-tested blasts on ice, so high LH from PCOS wasn't such a big deal. Dr said I should start metformin if I got pregnant however - went straight onto the miscarriage dose (850mg twice daily - vs the fertility dose which is usually more like 500mg twice daily)

I'm coming off my other IVF meds but Dr says to stay on the metformin

We had tissue testing done after the mc in March, and the embryo was chromosomally normal - so the problem was me

This one was also genetically normal, as we did PGS testing - so again the problem was me

The likely culprit is my endometrium, which has been consistently problematic. Although this time we treated empirically for immunes and I think perhaps knowing what we now know, we would do better to leave out the prednisolone and intralipids next time

Oh some ppl have sticky bloods test done and that hysto thing to check ur uterus my clinic has 6 months waiting list. I'm with st Mary's Manchester. And they won't do sticky blood test or immune test I rather go private

Definitely - St Marys are great for sticky blood or thyroid but if you don't fall into that category they say there's nothing wrong with you, cos they don't believe in immunes

Coventry RM clinic with Prof Quenby and Brosens for the uNK biopsy definitely worth looking into. It's on my list of questions for my follow up with my consultant. I think I've probably been over suppressed this cycle and the pred / intralipids may have done more harm than good. The Coventry test is about £370 I think - and all the money goes back into their research into miscarriage

I haven't had the biopsy although I had the level 2 immunes tests done and had marginally elevated NK cells - although peripheral blood doesn't necessarily indicate what's going on in the uterine environment

I also tested negative on the thrombophilia tests, no sticky blood - although it's very possible the first mc was related to compromised foetal blood flow, for such sudden foetal demise of a chromosomally normal embryo (perfect hb at 8+5 but MMC at 10w, baby measured 9+3, so died suddenly after the previous scan). So we treated me this cycle with Clexane and aspirin

Baby number 3.. hoping for a girl. I am 39 yrs old and only used inofolic for not more than a month. Through 1st cycle using it got BFP. I had loop iud after my 2nd child whom is 4 yrs now.
