Luteal phase defect - any advice please?

Hello

So I've been ttc for 8 months now. Already have one child who was conceived without difficulty.

This time my menstrual cycles are all over the place, which has been the case since I stopped breastfeeding (now ages ago about 10 months ago).

I have a luteal phase defect as whilst my cycle is 28-29 days long, I don't ovulate until day 17 then my luteal phase is only 7 days long as I start spotting (reasonably heavily, more like a light bleed) for 3 days, then if stops for 2-3 days, then I start my period.

Have already had tests for low progesterone and endometriosis and they have come back normal.

Anyone else had a similar experience and can suggest what's going on? Did you try anything that worked? Already taking the fertility hormones.

Thanks for any advice.
