Test Day

Hi all
I have had EC and waiting to find out what day my transfer will be 3day or 5 day.
I want to book a few days off work near test day but not sure when i should book time off. How many days did you ladies wait to test?

It depends if you want to wait till OTD out test earlier at home. You start counting from the day your eggs are collected. That counts as the day of conception.
A lot of people know as early as 5dp5dt. I would not book earlier than 10 days post egg collection.
I would book day 10 post EC (including) and then till OTD or more if you can/want.

Are you sure about booking time off? Honestly, I couldn't have coped without the distraction of work!
For my successful cycle, I had a day 5 transfer and got a positive a week later, on day 12. Good luck! X

My otd was 11 days after 5 day transfer on all three of my IVFs (the third being an FET)....I took the full two weeks off as sick leave and highly recommend it! Chilled out watching TV and doing Zita west's CD everyday. When my second transfer was unsuccessful it meant I was at home having period pains rather than sat over my desk feeling sorry for myself.... obviously everyone is different but do what's best for you.

Im hoping to have a 5 day transfer which will b saturday..i will know this morning if its today or sat. And do a preg test the following sat 3rd sept.
13 days after egg collection and 8 days since transfer. Do u think thats ok? My DH is working away next week and he wants to be here when i test x
But i suppose clinic will give me a otd too

Yeah clinic should give you an otd....on all three of my cycles I have waited until that date.....cos I'm a bit superstitious and didn't want to jinx anything!
