Cyclogest and nausea?

Dr Google is being vague! Can I blame my nausea on the pessaries? I started them four days ago (ET yesterday), and this is now the third day of constant nausea. Haven't been sick and no D/V signs really. I vaguely remember that I had nausea in my last 2ww too.

I was supposed to be productive today, not flurp on the sofa in my dressing gown and sip peppermint tea all day.

I've only started using them & last night was my 2nd but I've not been able to stand the smell of any food today due to feeling so nauseous even with toast.

I was put on them in very early pregnancy and they hit me like a ton of bricks. After a few weeks I begged the GP to take me off them.

But she said none of her patients had ever had side effects.

All I know is my nausea dramatically reduced the day I stopped it!

I've been on them for two weeks now and not had any nausea. Was this a fredh or frozen transfer you had? If fresh I'd say it's more likely the after effects of stims making you feel like this. Have you called your clinic? Xx

It's a FET cycle, as was my previous one, so definitely not stimms. The leaflet that comes with Cyclogest hardly lists any side effects at all, but seems a lot of people online do complain of one thing or another. I'm coping with the nausea - it's not too bad, and I'm not actually being sick - so I don't really think there's much point bothering the clinic for now. Still a week to go for OTD...

We are testing on same day McPheeNicks. I have not had any nausea with cyclogest but I do wonder if I should be having extra luteal support drugs in that everyone else on these threads seem to be on several more things in addition -more progesterone, steroids and aspirin.
Are you just on cyclogest 400mg? Are you having any unusual symptoms other than the nausea
My head is obsessing so much with the desperate to be pregnant.

Hi Everhopeful. I'm on Cyclogest 400mg x 2 a day, and Oestradiol Valerate 2mg x 3 pills a day. The pills are what was used instead of stimms to help me grow a decent womb lining. I'm not on steroids or aspirin, and thought those were only beneficial if you actually had some specific issues that they helped with? I'm having some lovely bloating, which I think is from the Cyclogest as well, and it's a bit "local irritation" from the pessaries, but otherwise can't complain.

I'm trying hard not to start testing early this time around. I want to stay in my little bubble of hope, even though not really feeling very optimistic. I just can't imagine we would actually be so lucky as to have it work!

Yes am taking the cyclogest x2 a day..., yeah I ve heard of ppl being on oestrogen too but was told my womb lining just before point of egg collection was 12 mm which is apparently decent. And I do tend toward a greater oestrogen balance anyway because I think to do with endo. I do wonder if many clinics do a one size fits all in most cases, well until you ve failed at a cycle and then they might look at it. It worries me when ppl are taking such variances of different drugs etc

I am also on cyclogest x 2 a day, plus clexane x 1 a day, plus prednisone x 2 a day (did the first 4 days post transfer on 4 a day), plus something else to maintain lining that I have been taking since day 2.

Haven't noticed any nausea.
