Donor eggs on NHS - how long did you have to wait?

Has anyone here had NHS funding to receive donor eggs? I am told the waiting list is 'very long'. It would be good to get a better idea of what that means!

Thanks

Hi Peg
We were told the wait is 1-2 years.
Because of my age we didn't want to wait that long. We ended going to Barcelona, they found us a donor in 5 weeks. I'm now 26 weeks pregnant?!. Good luck!

Congratulations Maurice169, I'm pleased to hear that! Had a meeting today, turns out that in my catchment area, the wait for donor eggs isn't that long at all - could be as little as three months! Guess I'm lucky to live where I do. But actually, we may have found an egg donor already (known donor). Things aren't looking quite so bleak now :)
