Hi Guys,
Im much in need of the wisdom of everyone on this board!
My Dh and I have been trying for about a year, only doing it around ovulation... I had a hycosy scan which showed dye up to my tube end but no spill... Im now booked in for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to remove a polyp tomorrow under a general.
Im fine about the polyp removal - that's needed and it goes up the cervix so that's nothing new !
Its more the invasiveness of the laparoscopy - for essentially a hycosy result that might mean my tubes are fine - I know they can be inaccurate....so Im freaking out a bit at an operation that might not be needed....
eugh anyone been in the same position ? Im probably being a wuss- It just feels massive!

Only a lap will tell you for sure if your tubes are completely clear of endometriosis. I had one before starting IUI and was glad I did. All was clear but it meant I could move forward with treatment knowing that my ovaries/tubes/uterus were healthy and there were no obstacles for IUI or IVF.

Make sure you take it easy for a few days afterwards. Have some books or films ready and put your feet up! Good luck.
