IVF mistakes or things that could have been done differently

Hoping to hear words of wisdom what went wrong and how was it corrected.

What do you wish you knew then that you know now.

I should have tried for a second DC earlier. There were many reasons why we didn't (most of them very good ones) but 42 is very different to mid-30s. I wish I'd known earlier, not just vaguely and theoretically but really known, that a woman's age is the number one factor in successful IVF regardless of whether the initial reason for infertility lies with her or partner.

I also wish I had known that I should protect myself by avoiding talking about this experience to certain people that just don't have a clue & can just say the most hurtful things without realizing.
