Abnormal morphology

I was hoping for some advice. My husband received his semen analysis results ... Count was 40.2million/ml, motility was 61 (50 rapid progression) but normal morphology was only 3.5%. The gp wasn't too worried and no second SA has bn arranged. Is this likely to be our barrier to getting pregnant? Where do we go from here??

The threshold for normal is 4% so you're not far off, maybe within the margin of error for the test? My DH had less than 1% on 3 tests but then took well man conception vits, 1000mg vit c and co enzyme q10 and it has now gone up to 7%. IVF clinic judged his sperm absolutely fine at 7% and it fertilised 3 eggs no bother.

Best of luck.

We're u undergoing ivf because his his SA results?? I just feel Like I'm in limbo at the mo awaiting an apt to fertility clinic to do more tests I've only had progesterone checked

To be honest the most likely reason we need IVF is because of my age (41 when started TTC, now 42). We met late in life. But certainly his below par sperm did not help. However if really bad they'd have recommended ICSI but they did not. Round one did not work but the eggs did fertilise so I understand that failure after that was not sperm- related.
