Hi folks. Been riding on a cloud of Joy after a with 2nd ICSI cycle BFP. Had 3 embryos transferred (grades 1,2,3) and had 630 HCG count on day 16. Then came crashing down today.

Today had week6 internal scan and had an empty sac and swollen ovary. Nurse said it can be a pregnancy but it's 50/50. Had no spotting or cramping but no pregnancy symptoms. (My mum never did though so not worried about that). Going back for a scan next week but can't help but feel like crumbling.

Hi.
Sorry that you didn't have good news at your scan.
So was the sac confirmed as empty or nurse wasn't sure?
Did they do your bloods?

No bloods. She took some measurements and we're back in Monday. Nothing confirmed. Week of total limbo :-(

Are you exactly 6 weeks or 6+something? Also do you know if there was a yolk sac present? Early scans are really tricky and lots of clinics advice waiting until 7 weeks to avoid stressing over nothing. I was scanned at 5+4 and no sign of any fetal pole but that's completely normal for that early stage. I was told it would become visible at some point during the next week and that by 7 weeks it should be clearly visible.

I hope your scan was just a bit too early and that the next one brings better news x

Thanks Betty, there was a sac but it looked long & thin rather than round. It was 6+2 days since egg collection (3 day transfer).
DH is being positive and optimistic but I'm finding it hard. Just have this sense of impending doom. I guess only a few more days to wait.
