Ivf what to expect next

Wonder if anyone can advise me on what to expect next. I've just finished 14 days of down reg. due to start gonal f tomorrow. How did you find these drugs. Is it going to turn me into a monster?

The downregging turned me so crazy I had to stop the cycle part way through. I was fine with stimming. Most people say they feel better at that point.

I was fine with it, and so relieved to stop the downreg side effects (hot flushes etc)! Good luck :)

The only side effect of the down reg was thirst and not being hungry. (Dh had to remind me to eat). Next bloods next week to see what's happening. Going to be on 150 of gonal f.

I had egg collection last Saturday. No mood problems, just felt very sick. Although I had 19 eggs retrieved and they told me afterwards that having side effects is actually good, because it is an indication that it is working and the hormones are having the desired effect. So if you do feel rotten then I hope that is some consolation!

I didn't turn into a monster but I could certainly feel the stimulation drugs working! I have never really been aware of my ovaries before that but once all the follicles started developing I certainly knew about it - not painful exactly but certainly bigger and towards egg collection and afterwards I was definitely uncomfortable. Oh and I think I was more tired than normal too. Get your elasticated waistbands ready!

Been and had checking scan, now going up to 250 of gonal f.

Good luck Patch. My progesterone was too high so my eggs aren't going to be transferred back until at least late October. They've all gone in the freezer. How are you feeling? How did the scan go? Everything crossed for you!

All good so far, my week of hell starts tomorrow. Scans and bloods every other day. As a needle phobe I am coping fantastically with injecting myself but dreading someone else doing it. They didn't tell me how many follicles were there last week so will definitely ask tomorrow I think. Still no proper side effects. Sometimes wonder whether I'm injecting meds or a placebo

Buserelin was horrible for me- the stims made me feel better! The injections gave me localised reaction which lasted a couple of hours but apart from that it was fine :) I was on 300 of menopur and ended up with 16 eggs and 6 5 day blastocysts. Good luck x

It's not hell Patch. It's uncomfortable and unpleasant but it's not hell.
