Progesterone, emc...Advice

I had day 21 bloods which indicated that I had a progesterone level of 1 (have a short luteal phase of 8 days). The gp told me that it was annovualtory and abnormal and referred me to a gynae. That month I got my bfp!

I went to my gp straight away as I was shocked I got the bfp and she said that they would not prescribe me progesterone (they couldn't) and that they would see if I could carry without intervention as its my first pregnancy, even though I was spotting.

Low and behold I had an emc at 8 weeks though I'm sure I lost it earlier.

My gynae appoinment has been moved until November due to a cancellation (was this week) and is with a nurse?

I dont know what to do. I have a short LP too, Im pretty sure I need progesterone to sustain a pregnancy but no one will help.

Awaiting my first AF since the emc and considering going private to see a consultant but the costs around here seem to be near enough £200 for a consultation.

Any advise? Anyone managed to get progesterone prescribed.

Hi sorry I've not experienced that myself. Although further back before I knew I'd need Ivf I was having acupuncture and she recommended a consultation at a private clinic as they will sometimes prescribe progesterone. I made app and they advised nhs Ivf first then go back to them. I know Nhs you have to mc a few times before they will investigate further. Good luck.
