After a year of taking folic acid vitamins and trying for a baby tablets, took ovulation tests no positive. Booked an appointment at doctors, what will the process be? Blood tests to see if I'm ovulating? How long is it before they give me some fertility drugs? Any info would be appreciated

Process varies by area, the age of the patient and the amount of time you've been trying. My GP carried out a number of preliminary tests (including ovulation), and then referred me to the fertility clinic. I waited around 12 weeks for my appt, and the first thing the consultant did was repeat the same tests my GP had carried out...which was annoying at the time but they can't make any sort of diagnosis on the basis of one set of blood results, so it was necessary.

Are you certain that you are not ovulating? Is your cycle regular? How many months did you use opks?

You'll need blood tests some time around day 1-3, and day 21 I think. Semen analysis for your partner as there's not much point giving you Clomid if you are actually ovulating but there's a sperm issue. Then referral to the consultant. You may well need to draw on considerable reserves of patience... Keep taking the folic acid and maybe track your cycles with opks to be sure.
