High FSH:LH ratio or reduced ovarian reserve

Hi, we've been ttc no. 1 for 14 months (18 cycles) and I have a very high FSH:LH ratio of 4 (it should be close to 1), suggesting reduced ovarian reserve. I am 34. I don't have AMH results yet. Did anyone else have a high ratio and what can you tell me about it? Thanks!! We have our first consultation at the ARGC at the end of this month, and are also considering egg sharing at the Lister if my AMH turns out to be ok (which seems doubtful with this FSH:LH ratio). Thanks for your help ladies!

Hmmm I thought a ratio out of balance was pcos not low ovarian reserve. I have low ovarian reserve and my ratio is 1 but my scores are high.
What is your fsh?
I think you need an expert opinion

Thanks Andcake- the other way around (high lh:fsh ratio) suggested PCOS. My FSH is 6.7 which is fine, but the LH should be about the same and it's 1.7. My googling tells me it's bad news. I am just impatient to find out more- not seeing a specialist for a couple more weeks. Getting AMH done next week.

Also get a afc count done as useful to tell real numbers not hormones

Thanks, I had that back in June, the consultant doing the scan told me all looked 'good' but I haven't actually seen the specialist yet to discuss the results- good old NHS.

Well if all looked good that is promising. To give you an idea with low ovarian reserve I had an affair of 5 across both ovaries. Normal is about 15!
I suspect you gave a specific problem but not low ovarian reserve as soon as you find out what it is I am sure they will find something to help
