I wrote this for the Guardian. It's about my experience with infertility and the issues it brings up concerning masculinity and good parenting. I wrote it in response to some recent comments about the small numbers of sperm donors.

Hi there. I read your piece yesterday. I was pretty horrified at the 'prove your manhood' line, it's such bullshit and really upsetting for many blokes who have sperm issues. So unhelpful and regressive and potentially really off putting for couples looking for answers and treatment. Thank you for the article
