Hello everyone, i am new here. I was wondering whether anyone else here has been on Zoladex?! It is a treatment to treat endometriosis.

Since i feel like it is driving me mad, i wonder whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

Thank you :)

Yes, me! Dear god it was the most awful time of my life and in hindsight I would've refused to take it as quite frankly the endo was easier to cope with. Sorry to be all doom and gloom but just sharing my experience of it. What month are you on?

Hi, I was on zoladex two years ago, as endo treatment prior to IVF. I had stage IV endo, but with very few symptoms other than infertility. The zoladex gave me night sweats and hot flushes - I bought a folding fan that I carried everywhere which was a godsend! It probably didn't help that the summer was so warm as well. However, three months of zoladex followed by long-protocol IVF resulted in my wonderful DD (now almost 1yo), and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Just to add I did conceive naturally about a year after I had finished the zoladex and just after our first IVF appointment. I also had a laparoscopy prior to the Zoladex.

I have a 6 month course and i am on my 4th month now. Sometimes i am fine about it and other times i am just plain crazy. I get mood swings and snap at anything - and i'm not a moody person, i am quite energetic and happy go lucky - so people notice the difference in me! :| I had laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, ovarian drilling and scraping. All in one procedure! :|

It's all the side effects of the zoladex. What's the plan after you finish this course of treatment?

Giorgia82 · 25/06/2015 06:55

Plan is to wait for 3 months so the side effects are completely gone and try for a baby.

Hello, also had zoladex for 6 months for endo treatment (stage 3) following a lap. The hot flushes and weight gain was crap but compared to the period pain I would get from endo, it was fine! You're 4months in so thankfully not long to go now :-)

I sometimes have pain that is similar to ovulation - i wonder if it is normal :|
