So I haven't been on here for a while due to generally feeling low about not conceiving. I was diagnosed with pcos last year. However! Hubby had his semen analysis results today and it's 30 million so feeling much more hopeful and finally doctor will prescribe me Clomid this week after over a year of waiting! Feeling much more optimistic!! Desperate for some success stories and clomid tips/advice. Thank you so much in advance. Emma

Hi Emma, I just got prescribed Clomid yesterday so I'd also be grateful for any info or advice. I never thought it would en be offered to us. We've had a mad time since first getting referred to gynae. My husband has also checked out fine. I had my AMH tested 4yrs ago & it was very low. But after 3yrs ttc we got referred in Nov. All previous bloods were fine & then suddenly I had a high FSH & was told by one Dr another similar result would mean no IVF on the NHS. Then a scan showed cyst on left ovary & left tube full of fluid. I was sent to a surgeon who said they'd do a laparoscopy to deal with that & he was applying for IVF with egg donation as they prob wouldn't with my own eggs. So I had a laparoscopy last weds & was expecting the tube to be removed & cyst aspirated but it had all disappeared & they could get the dye through everywhere. Then the clinic called us in on Mon & I was expecting bad news but my last FSH was much lower so I've been given 3 months of Clomid & the consultant said he would refer us for IVF on the NHS if needed. Also repeating my AMH as he feels the original one might not have been done accurately.

We both feel like we've been dragged through the ringer emotionally but now all of a sudden feel hopeful again. I know Clomid is no guarantee but a few weeks ago we had no hope & I was told I was poss pre-menopausal at 29, the same age it happened to my mum. Just trying to stay positive & enjoy trying to conceive!
