IVF - when did you test

Clinic have told us to test at 19DPO - WTAF?! We had a not quite blast transferred on day 5. I am not one for early testing with IVF as want to know that a negative is definitely a negative rather than still having a glimmer of hope that it just isn't showing yet... but think their date is a bit over-cautious and of course want to put myself out of my misery sooner rather than later.

Just wondering when everyone else tested? We are thinking of going for 15DPO / 15 days after ER - surely that will give an accurate result?

Progesterone can keep AF at bay a bit I believe but just as possible is that you were testing too early to get a bfp on days 8-11 which could show tomorrow... Sorry to not be more helpful!

Good luck with tomorrow's test, wishing you all the best!

Thank you for your replies! They have me a pee "jar" not sure if I need to do a morning pee?! Yes I think they do a blood test!! I was so determined to go and buy a clearblue digi test so I can prepare myself for the news!! I managed to resist tempation! Very hard!! It seems like most people get their af before they go for their test!!

I tested at 17dpo which was a Sunday rather than 19dpo and got a clear bfp- he's asleep in bed.

Needing some support today. First round of IVF which they used ICSCI- managed to fertilize one blastocyst and that was implanted 10 days ago. I was convinced I was pregnant- had cramping, tiredness and no period as yet so when I took test this morning and it came back negative was such a downer. Although I had tried not to get my hopes up I really believed test would be positive. Any support out there would be a great help. Having a day at home with a pack of tissues.
I am very lucky, I have a lovely husband, cat and chinchilla and trying to think of the positives at the moment.
Sam
