Humira

I have had 2 doses of Humira to deal with lowering my NK cells..... I will then be retested in two weeks to see if they have come down
Problem is I will get the results the day my period is due / start my first IVF cycle
If they havent come down it might be a wasted cycle..... But quite likely they will

Has anyone else had experience with theirs not coming down after 2 doses?

Thank in advance!!

hey! Just thought I’d check in… I got my results back and they have indeed gone down which my clinic was pleased with.
my levels are 32 which is still higher than the bracket but they are happy for me to start my next cycle and have another drip during treatment.

hope all is well with you both

Hi @CurlySue7 sorry for my slow reply! That’s so great that your levels have gone down, have you started a new cycle now?

I actually got a bfp a couple of days ago, but pretty sure it’s going to be another chemical, as my lines are not progressing. Gutted as this is my first positive on all the immune meds, will need to chat to my doctor and see what to do next.

No worries…. Stay positive, you never know! :)

so my journey is getting longer… I started my 2nd ivf cycle last month. Everything was looking good. My NKs were still on the upper bracket side so they gave me 2 intralids to help further reduce them. They don’t really do further tests till after pregnancy. But generally speaking it was going better than 1st cycle.

did my egg collection and this time got 8 eggs of which 5 created high quality embryos:)

fortunately/ unfortunately my dr noticed some fluid in my left tube during egg collection. Further scan confirmed it was there - known as Hydrosalpinx. It’s basically a bit of toxic fluid that offen makes it hard to implant or keep a pregnancy. The toxins flow into the womb and kill basically - not always but high chance.

I only have a small amount and it’s not been seen before but I think the safest option will be to tie by left tube :(

sounds extreme but to some extent doing something to ensure that I increase my chances is a comfort. I have a scan this week now with a gyno but who knows when I can go back to IVF.

I’ve had to freeze my 5 babies in the mean time so also worried about the risks for FET!!

lots going on… trying to stay busy.

really hope things work out for you xxx

Oh wow you have had quite the journey! Amazing to have 5 high equality embryos though!
Sorry to hear about your left tube, but sounds like your doctors are advising the best care and giving you the best chance of a future transfer success.

I will keep testing the next couple of days, but not feeling hopefully as I’ve also had a bit of brown spotting, despite being on progesterone too. Oh well time will tell, trying not to get stressed as I know it’s outside my control!xx
