Progesterone pessaries after ER

Hello, have people been advised to take their pessaries 12 hours apart or morning and last thing? I was told the latter this time which has been easier as at bed time I am already lying down, but last time I did it 12 hours apart and from googling am worried I'm doing it wrong! Probably sounds silly but after having our one not great qual emby put back today I'm grasping a bit.

If it's not an issue I'd prefer to carry on like this as we have a toddler and laying down for half an hour is harder when he's awake.

What were others advised? Thanks

Mine were 12 hours apart (ish) but, erm, back door rather than front, so no lying down.

Thanks. I did back door last time - much easier! But alas clinic have said there is newer research to suggest vaginal is more effective. I should probably just ring them tomorrow to check, even though I know what they told me... Ivf has made me an obsessive mess. I definitely wasn't like this before... Wink

I was on 3 a day, but fairly flexible timing - was told to leave min 5 hours, max 11 hours between them, depending on when best suited me to take them each day.

I'm on progesterone pessaries twice a day. I was never given any specific instructions on timing, so I tend to do them roughly 12 hours apart, but I don't get my knickers in a twist if somedays it's more or less than that.

Interested to hear you've been told to lie down as I've heard others have been told to go for a walk straight after to speed up absorption.

Thanks - rang clinic and they said to fit in with your lifestyle, so they suggest first thing and last thing - setting alarm 20 mins earlier so you can lie down. I'm on 2 x 400mg though so maybe it's stricter if a smaller dose?

Tootsiepops - Yes they seem really set on that - maybe it's an individual clinic thing. Last time, I had my first inserted immediately after ET and they made me lie down for 20 minutes then - was BURSTING for the loo with my requested full bladder!

I do mine first thing and last thing (prob around 6am and 9pm).. currently 5 weeks pg.. eek.. and have to continue until 12 weeks

I've never been told to lie down....and nothing comes out! I prefer to do my evening ones before I go to bed, because I find that the progesterone makes my muscles stiff...and tend to do the morning one when I get up. I do mine roughly 12 hours apart, thinking about it.
