The estrogen priming IVF studies have women starting estrogen on day 21 prior to the IVF cycle for more even follicle growth and better egg quality.
However, I don't have a textbook cycle. I ovulate late at around day 15 or even 16, yet my luteal phase is short and my cycles are only 24-26 days long. This one just gone was 25 days. I'm now on day 1 of a new cycle and am starting estrogen this luteal phase in prep for IVF next cycle.
But should I still start estrogen on day 21, or because my luteal phase is short, does that mean my follicles for the next cycle are preparing themselves earlier than day 21 and I need to start earlier?
My clinic is allowing me to do this protocol based on my own research, so they have no idea about it and are no help.
