I have been ttc for 18 months and nothing has been happening, my period became very irregular since stopping the pill and tests reveled PCOS.
I am due my first clomid course on the 29th, has anyone got a similar experience? my bmi is 19.5 and i'm 22, doc said that my hormone level is normal and my partner has a son from a previous relationship. Wanna hear similar stories. Thank you x

It worked for us. In fact I did 4 cycles of it and got pregnant 3 of the 4 times.
Good luck x

It boosted my ovulation but I ovulated most months before anyway. I didn't get pregnant on Clomid though and needed ivf for that.

Just wanted to say it worked for us. For 3 years I didn't ovulate, had a cycle of IVF which failed and as a last resort decided to try Clomid. It took 150mg but my cycle returned and I fell pregnant a month after I stopped taking the tablets. Sadly that pregnancy wasn't to be for unrelated reasons but I conceived again naturally 6 months later and 9 weeks ago had my beautiful boy.
Funnily enough we only conceived after we'd given up hope and stopped trying. Maybe it was just the pressure of TTC.

TheVeryHungryScreamerpillar congrats on your baby boy Smile I think you are right, the stress of tv is too much it's all I think about its taking over my life. I think once I have my first course of clomid in two weeks time I will stop thinking about the whole thing and what's mean to be will be Smile

It worked for us on the first month! I'm not sure about BMI but I'm around 5'5 and weighed around 9 stone. They put me on 100mg straight off. I have cysts on my ovaries but don't have pcos. They said I had something similar but never named it.

I've heard it is very successful in those that don't normally ovulate :)

I did have to take progesterone tablets first to encourage a period so that I was then able to start clomid.

Good luck to you! Thanks

Rosieblossom123 · 22/04/2015 10:23

Fuzzyduck21 wow that's great news congrads :) I'm 5'2 and weigh 7stone so not sure how they'll start me off to be honest.

My gyn said she thinks the clomid will kick off my ovulation as all my tests came back fine ie: hormone, etc.

So I am really hoping and praying :)
Well I get a period every month but my cycle is irregular so on months it'll be 30, 35, 42 lol last two cycles was 42 but AF was due last Sunday 19th but never turned up. my appointment is on the 29th next Wednesday so I hope I don't come on until then haha xx Flowers

Currently fairly sleep deprived and balancing a 4 week old daughter with my plate of toast DH made before he left for work. I'm a mess, so is my house...but our little clomid baby is here!!! (We also had quite a difficult pregnancy and complications at birth but still worth it..).

Trying for 21 months, cycle 3 of 50mg of clomid. Very low progesterone but no known cause.

5YearsTime · 23/04/2015 06:49

Ah whoops didn't see your BFP post. Congrats!!!

Hi there

I've just had my first cycle of clomid after being told i wasn't ovulating. Been ttc for about 2 years and dtd unprotected for over 6 years. Had my day 21 blood test on day 19 because it fell on a Sunday. Got my results today and progesterone level was 109....is that really high.
Due on (don't know all the technical terms) on Thurs/Fri and am up and down with thinking I have pregnancy symptoms!

artylady14 · 07/09/2015 23:13

Did any of you experience abdominal pains right after ovulation when you took clomid? I am 3 dpo and have constant ache right across my abdomen for two days now.

scienceteachergeek · 12/09/2015 12:24

Yeah, don't worry artylady I've had lots of pains down there since starting clomid. I'd never had them before, but quite possibly I'd never ovulated before. If they get too bad for you to cope with go to A&E but if you know you've ovulated it shouldn't be anything to worry about. It's happened to me all three months I've taken clomid.
