Just wondering can anyone give me an idea of what to expect next, the slow process and waiting is starting to drive me crazy. Our story is ttc 14months. Dh sa slightly low count. I had a 5cm ovarian cyst discovered on scan and am going back in a week to see if it's still there. If it is it's likely an endometrioma, if it's gone it was probably a haemorrhagic cyst. I think it will be gone as I used to be able to feel it and can't now. So what happens next? If it's still there will I be put on a waiting list for laparoscopy? Any idea how long this takes? If it's not there what's next? Any advice greatly received

It will surely depend on your hospitals waiting list. I was on a couple of months until op to remove and then referred for Ivf. However we had been trying for over 3 years at this point. Then it will depend on the waiting list of the hospital you are referred for treatment (if you are). Our wait was about 6 months to first appointment but i think that is good but our trust only allows one free go so assume waiting lists not as high as areas offering more go's.

Tired of looking it really varies from place to place. My timeline was

Started ttc sept 2011
Went to GP July 2013. Supposed to be 2 years unexplained but she kindly referred us a bit early
Had various appts for scans etc which found nothing
Officially placed on Ivf waiting list Feb 2014
Started down regging Jan 2015
Injecting Feb 2015
Egg collection March 2015
Transfer was cancelled due to OHSS with a 3 month wait to get back onto a medicated thaw cycle. Looking at may/June.

So yes it's a long, slow, agonising time. It may be quicker for you, it depends on how long waiting lists are in your area. We have decided that if this cycle doesn't work we will go private (abroad) as we never want to go through that wait again.

Fingers crossed yours is a little quicker Flowers

Thanks for that, the waiting is very frustrating! Good luck with your next round

Feb 14 - saw specialist again.
Apr 14 - had fibroidectomy and cyst removed and a d&c.
June 14 - diagnosed with unexplained infertility as there is no medical reason I can't get pregnant.
Aug 14- first Ivf cycle (no eggs fertilised so was a waste)
Feb 15 - started downregging
May 15 - fingers crossed for EPU
