Clomid stories please!

Hi I was due to start first cycle of clomid but I am away during the time in which the scan would have been taking place so unfortunately another heart break for me. 8 was so looking forward to starting something to feel like I was on the right path again but I have another wait my cycles are typically 40 days. Trying now for 18 months and I am pissed off. I would love to hear stories about clomid I want to know all the good the bad and the ugly if you have used this medication I would appreciate if you could share your experiences please.

I had clomid, hated the stuff as the dose increased I felt awful. But currently 22 weeks pregnant. Took 4 (long) cycles for me to even ovulate but it worked on that 4th cycle. I felt like giving up as it made me feel ill but am so glad I didn't. I wasn't scanned, just day 21 and day 28 bloods so I wouldn't be too down about missing the scan. fingers crossed it works for you too.

Exact same thing happened to me, we delayed by a month due to a long planned trip.

Three cycles of 50mg and last July we finally got our BFP. She's currently one week old.

I highly rate the stuff- got pregnant on day 12 of my first cycle. No side effects. Needless to say DS was worth the wait. Good luck.

And the cycle we got pregnant we DTD every day for nearly three weeks. Hard work!

Hi tutsyflower just wanted to say I have just finished my first lot of Clomid and I'm now on day 9 so starting to DTD as much as possible. I didn't have any side effects whatsoever so I hope that doesn't mean it's not working! Also I had read somewhere that if you take it at night you'll sleep through the side effects anyway. Fingers crossed it works for both of us!

Well I didn't get pregnant but I did:
Gain 12 kg
Turn into a moody psychotic bitch
Get extremely boated
Scream at a store assistant once ( I went back to apologise later and explained about the clomid. She gave me a big hug, said she was the same on clomid ten years earlier and made me tea in the staff break room!)

Clomid is the work of the devil.

I'm now 8 weeks pg after my 5th cycle of clomid. I hated the stuff, bloated, hot flushes, turned me into a miserable wench. Around ovulation time the pain in my side was so bad sometimes that I couldn't sit down. We'd been TTC for 3 years with one late miscarriage.

The month we conceived I actually forgot to take one of the tablets & puked up the next day's one. We only dtd twice that whole month too so not sure what worked for me!

I took it for 3 months and had awful mood swings. However thanks to it I have a beautiful 8 year old daughter so can't recommend it enough! Good luck x
