Calling all IVFers past and present: who did the injections, you or your OH?

I'm on my first round of IVF, and start stimming this evening. I've always thought that I'd be the one to administer the stabby needle, because I can be a bit of a control freak and don't want hubby to feel any pressure or blame if he gets it wrong somehow. If someone is going to get it wrong, I'd rather it be me.

But I just watched a tutorial video on youtube in which a husband was injecting his victim wife, and it I thought it was touching and sweet.

Now I'm conflicted. What did you lot do?

I have do e them all myself on my two cycles. DH is in charge of getting out the post-injection Hotel Chocolat chocolate!!

I did all my injections myself - the clinic I went to tweak your drugs daily depending on your daily blood test result and ring you with your instructions. Generally they wanted you to do the injections as soon as possible so having DH do them wasn't an option. DH did however do my daily gestone injection every day for 12 weeks as that had to be done at the same time each day in the buttocks Grin the needle for that was huge! He was terrified the first time but after 12 weeks was pretty blasé.

Two rounds and both failed :( but each time both dp and I jabbed me

He wanted to try /get involved and I appreciated the fact he did

Tho a few times when he stabbed me I bled (nicked a vessel) normal and happens tho he felt awful bless him

Oh and dp mixed the drugs and often withdrew into syringe - again to involve him

His choice. He wanted to do it and again I appriecated the fact he did want to
