Ivf testing

After 9 failed iui's we have just started the ball rolling to proceed with ivf and I gave what felt like a pint of blood on Monday for them to do the initial testing. I had a call yesterday to say that my thyroid level is high and they've put me on a month long course of levothyroxine and will retest in a month. Bloody annoying as I was assured at beginning of year that

Sorry, that everything was fine and now it's not. Could things have changed from jan till now? Anyone had this? Or any experience of this drug? Could my thyroid being out be the cause of secondary infertility? Clutching at straws I know!

It could be a contributing factor. You would need to see figures to see if it was actually high previously.
It does get worse in winter. Also if it was stim iui then i guess like ivf that may have pushed it up.
My ivf with a tsh of 4 failed but i got it under 2.5 and it worked.
The dose will need to be increased probably as soon as you get a bfp

Thanks for the reply naty1. It's such a minefield. Pleased to hear it worked for you, was it your first time? I'm so nervous as we can only afford one shot.
