Has anyone had any experience of getting funding for treatments in the Somerset area? Thanks Smile

Hi I'm in bristol but I know its slightly different in Somerset. You can get one fresh ivf and all frozen embryos. You need to be ttc 3 years and the women needs to have bmi lower than 30 and be between 23 and 39 years of age. No treatment is funded if one of you already has a child.

I never had to apply for funding as such. We went to the GP after 15 months ttc and got all the tests needed to diagnose infertility. The GP finally referred us to the BCRM in Bristol and we filled out all the forms they require. As we met criteria funding was never really mentioned, we were just told what we could have done.

I got the info from fertility fairness website but it only talks about ivf and not iui. I know in bristol you can.get 3x iui and 1ivf. Maybe you will quality for some iui too, it depends on cause of infertility. I think iui is only helpful in unexplained cases. Where are you in your investigations?
