IVF timeline?

Hi,

Hopefully starting our 2nd ivf next cycle (first time was in 2012 and led to DS) but am getting really confused about the timescale. I didn't think I would ever forgot but clearly my memory is now shot!

I'll be doing long protocol and can't think how long do I DR for before stimming begins? I had four weeks in my head but this is different to what I've seen on some websites. Then people usually stim for 10-14 days don't they, depending on response? I'm fine from that point on, just want to get a rough idea in my head for work and holiday purposes.

I think I started the pill on CD 14, added buserelin on CD21, off the pill CD 28 and waited for a bleed - think it took 5 days to start, then started stims on CD3 for 10 days, EC, waited to take embryos to 5 day blast, ET and now the bloody awful two week wait.

thanks Tootsiepops - it does seem to be shorter than what I remembered. Good luck to you - I know the 2ww is torturous. Fab that you got a 5 day transfer though!

I started buserelin on day 23 of my cycle, then did that for about 3 weeks before starting simms for about 12 days with 3 follicle scans starting after day 6 of stimms. Egg collection was one month and 2 days after I started the first injection. Et 5 days later. Hope this helps!

Started DR on CD21, for around 14 days. Once scan / blood tests showed that I was down regulated, I stimmed for 10-12 days. This was my long protocol for 3 cycles at 2 different clinics.

Yes I'm currently 13+5! I got a BFP from my second cycle too but sadly had a late miscarriage at 21w. I've just had surgery to prevent another loss so hoping I get further this time.

I started DR on day 21 for 3 weeks taking synarel, then stimmed for 12 days on gonal f, had 3 scans and bloods, that was long protocol and due to start the same again in a few weeks hopefully.
