Hi there

I'm brand new to this forum!

I have just been matched with a recipient for egg sharing. Yaay!

I was originally told I would be starting on day 21 of my cycle (af due March 6th, so march 27th). However, my recipient can't make it in to the clinic until next week, so I am now to start the pill on day 2. I'm so confused! I know this is to sync or cycles, but does this mean I will be starting to down reg later than march 27 (day 21 this cycle)? Or is this down regging?

I'm so confused, and praying it won't delay things.

Any advice would be really appreciated. I had be tried emailing the clinic but haven't heard back.

Maybe someone could share their ivf egg share (as a donor) timeline with me?

Thanks all

Bethan xxxx

Hi Bethan
Didn't want to leave your post unanswered, as a fellow eggsharer Smile
I started with the pill too, as the donor and recipient should be in sync for both to have a chance.
I was on the pill for quite a few weeks, was told to stop and start down reg few days after
Can't remember the exact number of days, but I would say have trust in your clinic, they will have done this many many times before Smile
I now have nearly 4 year old twins as a result of egg sharing, and was told my recipient had twins too!

All the best for your egg sharing cycle! Fingers crossed that both you and your recipient will be successful
Smile

Thanks so much for your response- and what a lovely story you have! I have total confidence, it's just patience I lack I think. Have waited so long to get here, just want to get started now!

I do remember the waiting, and it's tough, agree!
First all the tests, than waiting to be matched..
But you've done all that so not long to wait left.

I would do it again if I could, but over 35 now so no longer allowed sadly
