Does anybody know what units estradiol is measured in the UK and what would be considered normal for a day 3 measurement?

I am in Australia so don't know what units the UK uses to measure estradiol. I do however know that according to the book 'Infertility - The Hidden Causes', optimal day 2/3 results are between 100-200pmol/L.

Thanks shell I think UK also measure in pmol/l. Mine was 100. Is that ok?

I am no expert in the day 3 estradiol levels. But according to that book I mentioned 100-200 is optimal and so that makes yours in the optimal range!

lucie on the printout from my results it says the range for follicular phase is 46-607 pmol/L. Mine was 216 on day 5.

Ahh great thanks metal I was just wondering if it was a little on the low side but if it falls within the range I guess it must be ok!

Low is a good thing at day 3 lucie! It means all is normal. The follicles are what produces estrogen so that is why the estrogen increases over the course of the first two weeks of the cycle as the follicle/s grow. At day 3, the follicles are only 2-3mm as they have just surfaced from under the ovary, so the estrogen levels should be low.
