Egg collection tomorrow - but feel like I've already ovulated

Do other people feel like they might have ovulated before they go for egg collection? I'm due to have EC tomorrow after 14 days of stims, trigger last night. The thing is I had so much EWCM at the weekend and now it's stopped. I'm so worried there will be no eggs to collect cos they've been released.

I've emailed my nurse but not heard back from her.

I'm so worried about this - someone please tell me they thought the same and then it all turned out ok?!

I'm not sure, although when I had IVF I just trusted the protocol and drugs would do their job. I have noticed that during my usual cycle EWC seems to peak prior to ov, and I'm guessing all the drugs may alter what is "normal" for you.

My clinic told me that it's really common for women to notice changes in cervical mucus during their treatment and panic that they've ovulated too early; and basically not to worry about it because it's normal and down to the drugs.

Thanks Cakes and Persipan. I know in my head that the drugs stop ovulating happening but it doesn't stop me worrying. Maybe I just need to worry about something! I've had really good response to stims and they thought i would be poor responder so guess I'm just freaking out that all my lovely follicles will be empty cos I actually have lots when I was not expecting lots.

I was worried about this too but was told it was v rare so please don't stress x

Hi, it is very rare but can happen and it happened to me this past cycle. I had the EWCM and the pain on my right side and when I went for EC the next morning they could only get 2 follicles (1 floating around) as the other 2 had already disappeared. Doctor said it seemed I ovulated a few hours before.

For my next cycle the doctor said I will adjust the time of the last Orgalutran injection. Hopefully it will be my BFP cycle.
